      Hello Promod,
It really hurts when I hear about such wrong and bad news about the valley. There was no cloud burst in the valley last year, only floods due to rain and melting of Glaciers due to floods happened. This melting of Glacier accelerated the floods and the Pushpawati River was flooded but the flowering area of the valley was totally intact. Please read my full report on Valley of flowers after floods. I went to the valley in October 2013 and clicked some rare pictures.
Good news is that the flowering area of the valley is totally intact.
